Future Planning
Keller ISD is working to responsibly plan for the future of its schools in response to shifting enrollment and ongoing funding challenges by carefully evaluating how resources are used to best serve students.
From January to April 2026, members of the district’s Long-Range Planning Committee and the Citizens Bond Advisory Committee met to review enrollment trends, facility use, and financial considerations. Together, these groups established key criteria to guide district leadership, which informed a proposal to close four schools as part of broader planning efforts.
Moving forward, the two committees will meet separately to review the following areas:
- Citizens Bond Advisory Committee - evaluates current and future facility and technology needs within the district and helps develop bond package recommendations for the Board of Trustees.
- Long-Range Planning Committee - evaluates demographic projections, identifies opportunities for school consolidation and accompanying boundary adjustments, and communicates any needs and options to all Keller ISD stakeholders.
