On Tuesday, October 24, 2023, our campus will administer the  Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT) online.  The PSAT is a standardized test that provides firsthand practice for the SAT®.  The PSAT/NMSQT has three parts:  Reading, Math, and Writing & Language.  The most common reasons students take the PSAT/NMSQT are to: help assess skills necessary for college-level work, prepare for the SAT, and enter competitions for National Scholarships (junior year), and receive information from colleges.

The PSAT is online this year, all students must bring a charged, school-issued laptop.

KISD will continue to pay for 10th and 11th-grade students to participate in this assessment. Parents of freshmen may choose to have their child participate in the administration of the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT) for a fee of $18.  To register your freshman for the PSAT, all you have to do is pay for the test.  Credit Card payments can be made online via the KISD webstore. Cash/check payments need to be made in person to Candice Cito  the campus accountant. She is located in the front office.
