KISD Counseling

KCAL

Mission: In partnership with the community, we will inspire, empower and educate every student to excel in a diverse global society for life-long success.

Vision: We will provide a comprehensive program that prepares our students for post-secondary endeavors through rigorous curriculum, relevant experiences and lasting relationships.

KCAL Counseling

Mission: We will provide students, parents, and staff at KCAL and across the district with effective career and technical education information, so that they can make informed decisions about their high school and post-secondary future.

Vision: Through CTE coursework, students will learn where their strengths, weaknesses, and interests lie so that they can go into their future and accomplish their personal best in their life and career.

KCAL will offer students the opportunity to take advanced courses within their chosen endorsement. Students will participate in field based experiences, culminating in the senior practicum made possible with strong community and business partnerships. Each student will have the opportunity to participate in Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) and obtain certifications, certificates, licensures and/or college credit within their program of study. KCAL is a collaborative, innovative educational experience that will empower KISD students to be highly competitive in our global society.
