      • Parents/guardians are welcome to park and walk children across the crosswalk to the building.

    Dismissal

Students walking, riding a bike, or riding a bus home are released at 3:20pm. Car riders are released at 3:25pm.

    Car rider dismissal:

      • Parents and guests are not allowed to walk up to the building during afternoon dismissal.
      • Please have your child’s car rider tag visibly hanging on your rear-view mirror.
      • PreK students are dropped off and picked up at the KHES bus loop off Johnson Road. Staff members will help your child into and out of the vehicle. Please watch this Pre-K Arrival/Dismissal video for more details.
      • Kindergarten and first grade: drive south on Norma Lane to turn into the lane closest to the school at the front driveway. This puts the car closer to the building so our youngest students do not have to cross the driveway.
      • Second, third, and fourth grade vehicles drive north on Norma Lane and turn into the outside/left lane of the school’s front driveway. Staff will walk your child across the driveway and help him/her into the vehicle.
      • Vehicles in the wrong lane will be required to circle around and return to the correct lane to keep traffic moving.
      • Sibling groups will be dismissed with the youngest sibling.
      • Please pull up to the handicapped parking spot if your child needs assistance with the seatbelt or child seat.
      • Here is an Arrival/Dismissal description video for more details.
