Census 2020
-
Once a decade, America comes together to participate in the decennial census, counting every person living in the United States.
The 2020 Census will determine congressional representation, inform hundreds of billions in federal funding, and provide data that will impact Keller ISD and other governmental organizations for the next decade.
The results of this once-a-decade count determines the number of seats each stathas in the U.S. House of Represenatives and is also used to draw congressional and state legislative districts. Over the next 10 years, lawmakers, business owners, and many others will use the 2020 Census data to make critical decisions regarding where to allocate infrastructure and services for families, older adults, and children. It also informs how hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding are allocated to more than 100 programs including Head Start and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
