    Audio Video Production

This course is designed to provide students who are focused on audio, video & film production an opportunity to learn and refine their technical and conceptual skills through the creation of advanced level video/film projects. It is primarily a hands-on course, concentrating on the production, critical discussion and execution of short format videos in documentary, narrative and experimental forms. The courses will emphasize producing, directing, and editing skills, with the effective use of camera work and sound design.

In addition to developing advanced knowledge and skills needed for success in the Arts, Audio/Video Technology and communication career cluster, students will be expected to develop an advance understanding of the filmmaking industry with a focus on pre-production, production and post-production activities. I graduated from the University of Hawaii with a B.A. in Communications. Before my life as an educator, I worked at the ABC and Fox stations as a news photographer and the Chief Photographer for the NBC station in Hawaii. After moving to the DFW area I freelanced for Fox 4 News and the Dallas Cowboys. My first teaching job was at Timber Creek High School as the A/V teacher, where we started TCTV (Timber Creek Television).
