Amy Barranco graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and is certified to teach pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade.  Mrs. Barranco began her teaching career in 2002.  She started her career in Cameron ISD teaching third through fifth grade art.  In 2007 she started working in Keller at Trinity Springs Middle School. After that she taught at Florence Elementary, and then helped open Ridgeview in 2011.  Mrs. Barranco has been awarded two Keller Education Foundation grants while at Ridgeview.  She also created an art piece that was selected to be part of the JFK Museum’s permanent collection.  She has always loved art and kids, so teaching seemed like a natural career choice.  She enjoys seeing the kids smile when they come to art.  They brighten her day with the creative things they do, say, and make in her classroom.  Mrs. Barranco is married to her husband, Damian.  They have three children, Hanna, Jimmy, and Athena.
