denise.powell-stevens@kellerisd.netThe ESL program in Keller ISD is designed to develop and support listening, speaking, reading, and writing for students who are not yet proficient in English. Since social language is acquired first, we work intensively on gaining academic language to help students achieve success in the classroom. We serve more than 57 different languages across the district and work hard to meet the cognitive and emotional needs of each child by not only focusing on core content, but also by valuing home language and culture.
