Brenda Riebkes, Principal
Brenda Riebkes started her educational career in Fort Worth ISD at Handley Middle School in 1996 as an ELA teacher and coach. In 2001, she moved to Indian Springs Middle School, where she continued to coach and teach ELA to 7th graders. She also served as an assistant principal at Bear Creek (2014-2017) and Indian Springs Middle School (2017-2019). She transitioned back to Bear Creek as Principal in 2019.
Coleton Cox, Assistant Principal (5th Grade)
Mr. Cox graduated from Texas A&M University in 2012. After college, he spent the first years of his educational career in Krum, Texas, where he taught US History and coached varsity football and track. Mr. Cox credits the birth of his son for the motivation to obtain his master's degree in Educational Leadership from Steven F. Austin State University. In 2022, he joined Keller ISD as an Administrative Associate at Timber Creek High School. After one year at TCHS, Mr. Cox joined the administrative team at BCI as 5th Grade Assistant Principal and Instructional Leader for the Math and Science Departments. Mr. Cox is also married to an educator; his wife is a counselor in a neighboring district.
Kristy Oboyski, Assistant Principal (6th Grade)
Kristy Oboyski began her educational career in 2004 as a 7th grade Social Studies teacher at Ligon Magnet School in Raleigh, NC. In 2006, Kristy continued her career in Marana Unified School District at Tortolita Middle School in Tucson, Arizona as a 7th grade Social Studies and ELA teacher. She worked there for 8 years before moving to Texas. In 2019, she was a 7th grade ELA teacher and Coach at Keller Middle School. In 2022, she was the Administrative Associate at Indian Springs Middle School. She accepted the Assistant Principal position at Bear Creek Intermediate in 2023.
