About Keller ISD...
Keller ISD has 41 campuses serving more than 34,800 students, and has been one of the state's fastest growing school districts over the past two decades, more than doubling its enrollment. As the District nears build-out, growth has slowed, but still continues. KISD opened three new campuses in 2016 – Keller Early Learning Center South, Sunset Valley Elementary School, and the Keller Center for Advanced Learning – and will open its seventh middle school in August 2017.
The District serves portions of the cities of Colleyville, Fort Worth, Haltom City, Hurst, North Richland Hills, Southlake, Watauga, and Westlake and the entire City of Keller. Its 51 square miles encompass the third-largest land area in Tarrant County.
In the classroom, Keller ISD students continue to excel, exceeding state averages in state standardized testing; SAT and ACT scores; advanced course completion; and attendance, graduation, and dropout rates. KISD's more than 4,200 employees includes just over 2,700 classroom instructional staff. Financially, the District is one of the most efficient in Texas – maintaining high academic performance while being among the lowest spending in the state.
