Planning
Department responsibilities include forecasting short and long-term enrollment projections, creating and modifying attendance zones, and tracking current and future housing growth within KISD.
Construction
Department responsibilities include providing pre-bond planning of facilities needs, scheduling of projects in the most effective manner and assuring compliance, oversight of programming and design of facility projects including assistance with the selection of professional services, coordinating construction with existing campus administration, facilitating input from administration and problem solving, and miscellaneous functions such as long-term planning and land acquisition.
Keller ISD opened Timberview Middle School and the Keller Early Learning Center in August of 2010. Building Additions have also been completed this year at Fossil Ridge High School and the District's Natatorium building. Construction continues this Spring with the District's 22nd Elementary campus which is scheduled to be open for the 2011-12 school year.
