As a fast growth district, the Keller Independent School District serves hundreds of new students each year.
To accommodate this growth and continue to offer a high quality education for all students, the district must modify existing school attendance zones.
Keller ISD's Board of Trustees approved the boundary changes for the 2010-11 school year at its regular meeting on December 10, 2009.
This boundary changes addressed growth in existing KISD facilities. In November 2008, KISD voters approved a $142 million bond package which includes the building of a new intermediate/middle school campus. This campus is scheduled to open in August 2010.

As with the school boundary change process which finished in the winter of 2009, the KISD Board of Trustees, Superintendent Dr. James Veitenheimer, and the entire district administrative staff remained committed to making sure our process was clearly communicated and represented the best interests of all students and families throughout the district.
Superintendent Veitenheimer along with the district's demographic consultant and administrative staff held public meetings for the community on Oct. 15 and Oct. 19 to view the proposed changes. After collecting community feedback, some modifications were made to the proposal before the final changes were presented to the Board. The recommended boundary changes were approved by the Board by a vote of 5-0.
