The University Interscholastic League released the new conference and district alignments for the 2012-14 school years Thursday morning, Feb. 2, placing all four Keller ISD high schools together in District 4-5A.

District 4-5A includes KISD's Central High School, Fossil Ridge High School, Keller High School, and Timber Creek High School, along with Haltom High and Richland High from Birdville ISD, Northwest High, and Southlake Carroll High.

The new district alignments will be in place beginning in the 2012-13 school year and the following year. It will mark Timber Creek's first time to compete in Conference 5A, the state's highest classification, after the Falcons fielded varsity teams for the first time in school history in 2011-12.

The UIL breaks up the state's high schools into classifications 1A through 5A based on campus enrollment. Conference 5A features for the next two years features the 245 Texas high schools with enrollments over 2090.

District 4-5A will greatly resemble the current District 7-5A with Timber Creek, Haltom and Richland replacing Coppell, Denton Guyer and Saginaw. Coppell will join District 5-5A with Denton Ryan and the four largest Lewisville ISD high schools, while Guyer and Saginaw both moved to Conference 4A in Districts 5 and 6, respectively.
