Donalyn Miller, a 6th grade language arts teacher at Trinity Meadows Intermediate School, was recently named Elementary Teacher of the Year by the Texas Council of Teachers of English/Language Arts.
Donalyn is known for her published work, The Book Whisperer, which describes her beliefs about teaching reading and classroom practices that she employs to increase student reading achievement and motivation. Not only that, but in 2010, she was also named as the Region XI Elementary Teacher of the Year and TEA State Finalist.
Both KISD and TMIS are proud of Donalyn Miller and her many accomplishments.
