All Keller Independent School District students will have the opportunity to view President Barack Obama’s September 14 address to the school children of America.
The White House recently announced that President Obama will make his second annual Back to School address. Last year, students in Keller ISD and nationwide had the opportunity to view the President's speech live as he encouraged them to stay in school, study hard, and take responsibility for their education.
The address will begin at Noon (CST) and last approximately 30 minutes.
Each of Keller ISD’s 38 campuses will determine their own plan of action on how their students may view the address, however live video will be made available via a link on thee district’s internal Web portal. Following the speech, a recorded version of the speech will be located in the same location and available for the rest of the day for those students and classes that were not able to view it live.
While the address will be made available to all students district-wide; parents who prefer that their students not view it have the option to notify the campus that their child does not have permission to view the segment. Any student not viewing the address will be excused to a determined on-campus location during the speech.
