Keller High Softball Headed Back to State Tournament

Defending UIL Class 6A Champion Keller High Softball is headed back to the State Tournament after defeating Plano West in the Region 1 Finals.

The Indians, Champions of District 3-6A, dropped the first game of the best-of-three series with Plano West 4-3 on Thursday night, but bounced back with an 8-1 win in Game Two on Friday to set up a third and deciding game Saturday afternoon. Keller High beat the Wolves 8-0 on Saturday to clinch the series and earn a trip to Austin for the 6A State Tournament for the second consecutive year, and the eighth time overall. KHS owns three state softball titles.

This year's UIL Class 6A State Semifinals will begin on Friday afternoon, June 2, at the University of Texas' Red and Charline McCombs Field. The Indians' game time and opponent have yet to be determined.
