SKIS Principal Serves as TEPSA District President

New South Keller Intermediate Principal Trish McKeel will serve as District 11 President for the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA) for the 2013-14 school year.

Officers from the 20 TEPSA school districts across the state were installed at the association's July Leadership Conference.

"District officers provide a vital connection to the membership at the local level," said Executive Director Sandi Borden. "They are committed to serving their fellow Texas PreK-8 school leaders and their students."

McKeel, whose career in education spans more than 22 years, is a former TEPSA District 11 Assistant Principal of the Year and she also serves on the association's Standing Committees.

She spent the past six years as assistant principal at Carroll ISD's Eubanks Intermediate School. Keller ISD's Board of Trustees approved McKeel as the new principal at South Keller IS at its July 18, 2013, Regular Meeting.

TEPSA, whose hallmark is educational leaders learning with and from each other, has served Texas PreK-8 school leaders since 1917. Member owned and member governed, TEPSA has more than 5,800 members who direct the activities of more than 2.5 million PreK-8 school children. Learn more at
