Keller ISD's Board of Trustees approved at its May 16, 2017, Regular Meeting the employment recommendations of Rhonda McGee as principal of Bluebonnet Elementary and Eleanor Adkins-Webb as principal of Heritage Elementary.
McGee comes to KISD from Albuquerque Public Schools where she has served as a teacher, assistant principal and principal. Currently she serves as an elementary principal and works collaboratively with staff to develop procedures to ensure academic achievement through the utilization of data driven instruction and provides embedded professional development in the content areas of English Language Arts and Math. Increasing the retention of highly qualified teachers and building a strong relationship with the parents and community have also been priorities for McGee and a vital part of the school’s success.
She attended The University of New Mexico where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in 1989, and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Multicultural Education in 1994.
Adkins-Webb joins Keller ISD from Mansfield ISD, where she is currently the Coordinator for Response to Intervention (RTI) and specializes in working with campus principals to implement customized and effective programming for students to ensure their success. Adkins-Webb has spent time as a teacher and assistant principal prior to becoming a District administrator, and has also served the gifted and talented population, developing programming utilized at both the campus and District level.
She attended The University of Texas at Arlington where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1998. In 2010, she graduated with her Master of Education in Education Administration from Lamar University. Adkins-Webb is very active in both professional and community organizations and also is a published author of a children’s book.
