KISD's 1st Annual Title I Family University - January 28

Keller ISD plans to host the 1st Annual Title I Family University, an educational event for families of students attending Title I campuses, on Saturday, January 28, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. - Noon at Caprock Elementary School. 

As families of our precious students, we understand that you are their first and most significant educators - academically (as you read bed time stories and help with homework); socially (as you teach them right from wrong and impose discipline); as well as emotionally (as you teach them to cope with life’s unforeseen circumstances).

Because of this, we also understand what a wonderful impact KISD can make in your child’s overall success as we seek to create and develop healthy and effective partnerships with you in order to prepare your children to meet the rigors of academic expectations.

Join us as we learn to cultivate this wonderful home and school relationship during the 1st Annual Title I Family University!

This event will include:

• Community resource representatives ready to share information, answer your questions, and help you address your family’s needs
  
  
• Educational workshops focused on ways you can help your students reach academic and behavioral expectations (math, reading, behavior, homework, etc.)
  
  
• District and campus specific information and resources to help your family become more engaged with and connected to your child’s campus, while providing support for your child’s interests
