The U.S. Army and the Pro Football Hall of Fame have named Central High School junior Hunter Morrow one of 10 finalists for their Award of Excellence.
The program highlights the achievements of student-athletes across the country, and recognizes high school sophomore- or junior-level high school athletes, not only for their athletic achievement, but also for excellence in academics and community engagement.
Morrow and the nine other finalists will travel to the 2013 U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio and participate in various activities. The winner of the Awards of Excellence will be announced during the Bowl's formal Awards Dinner on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013.
Central High School recognized Morrow at a Nov. 12 ceremony which featured an appearance by NFL Hall of Fame inductee Bobby Bell who presented Morrow with the award.
