Bear Creek Intermediate School is pleased to have such a wonderful relationship with Durham School Services, the district's transportation provider.
When BCI lost two lunchroom monitors due to the recent budget cuts, the Durham bus drivers stepped up to the plate through the organization's “Adopt a School” program. The program gives Durham employees the opportunity to volunteer their time in KISD schools.
At Bear Creek Intermediate, volunteers like Diana Willis (pictured below), help out in the cafeteria three days a week. The students love seeing their bus drivers during lunch and it has been a huge help to the BCI staff.
