Wednesday, Nov. 11 was the first day high school seniors could sign National Letters of Intent to play intercollegiate athletics during the early signing period several sports.
The early signing period runs from Nov. 11-18 and includes basketball and all other sports with the exception of football, field hockey, soccer, track and field, cross country and men’s water polo.
Keller ISD athletes who signed Letters of Intent include:

Kasey Merck (KHS), University of Texas at Arlington
Basketball
Leigha Bednar (FRHS), Air Force Academy
Golf
Mike Killam (FRHS), Maryville University (St. Louis, Mo.)
Softball
Emma Eichman (FRHS), Louisiana Tech
Upcoming LOI signing dates include:
- Regular signing for Football (Feb. 3, 2010 through April 1, 2010)
- Regular signing for Field Hockey, Soccer, Track and Field, Cross Country and Men's Water Polo (Feb. 3, 2010 through August 1, 2010)
- Regular signing period for Basketball (April 14, 2010 through May 19, 2010)
- Regular signing period for all other sports (April 14, 2010 through August 1, 2010)
